Starting his professional career as a construction architect, Reuben has been enamored with the creative and craft-refining process that the building industry provided. Noting parallel philosophies imbued by the software engineering industry and a desire to reinvent his career upon arriving in Canada, he pivoted towards software development as a means to impact people, processes and environments at scale.

His first dive into the field was attending a three-month crash course boot-camp in Java development where he built a currency-converter application which solidified his interest in programming. He quickly pursued a diploma in Business Information Systems from Saskatchewan Polytechnic and leveraged his prior client-facing experiences to work as Product Owner and Team Lead in his first role.

Joining Foci Solutions as a Developer, Reuben is eager to build his technical acumen, refine his collaborative nature to solve complex business challenges creatively with an ever present drive to leave a positive impact through his work.
